While these fruits are superfoods and are a great addition to any diet, due to the rich colour of these fruits, they do have some staining properties within them. In addition to this, the natural sugars and acids within the fruits can also cause harm to your teeth by weakening them and allowing bacteria to grow. However, that doesn’t mean that all fruits are like this. High-fiber fruits like pears and apples can actually help to whiten teeth as they boost saliva and also removes stains by essentially scrubbing the surface. Nevertheless, the sugars within these fruits can still have an effect.
